EarClean single-use pipette
EarClean is a CE-marked single-use pipette that is both hygienic and specifically designed to facilitate gentle cleaning of the ear canal.
After performing suction through aspiration, one can rinse with physiological saline solution. The integrated stop mechanism ensures that the pipette does not go in too deep.
The pipette is CE marked and approved for use by doctors, healthcare professionals, and for self-care.
It can be tested in cases of external otitis with an intact eardrum, where suctioning and rinsing can improve treatment outcomes. Cleaning is essential for antibiotics and steroid drops to be effective quickly.

The comprehensive process for CE marking has included, among other things, the registration of pressure under compression and aspiration, as well as the pressure of the liquid jet at flushing values, to ensure that no harmful pressure levels arise. How do I obtain 2% acetic acid?
In cases of ear canal inflammation, doctors may sometimes recommend the use of 2% acetic acid. It is important that you contact your GP or ENT specialist for a thorough assessment. If the doctor determines that this is an appropriate treatment, it can be prescribed as an ear solution. The pharmacy has the ability to order or manufacture the product if needed.
There is an APL preparation with 250 ml Acetic Acid 5 mg/ml.
This concentration (0.5%) can, with repeated rinses, likely kill Pseudomonas, a common bacterium found in external otitis. Rinsing with this solution can be an effective treatment at the first signs of ear canal inflammation. Otherwise, the product is intended for dousing infected leg ulcers.
Additional information about rinsing fluid when using EarClean
In cases of infectious external otitis, an antiseptic solution may be used to rinse the ear, according to a doctor's advice. This should only be done if the eardrum is confirmed to be intact.
The solution should be lukewarm or at body temperature. Do not insert the dropper deeply into the ear canal and ensure that it does not completely block it. Stop if you experience pain, dizziness, or worsened hearing. Contact healthcare if the issues persist.
The choice of rinsing fluid and medical treatment is the responsibility of the user or the doctor.
